Visit to Este Exhibition – with Antonio Cornacchione

Pentade of Antonio Cornacchione

This afternoon I have been to the Triennale della Ceramica di Este, with prof. Antonio Cornacchione, artist of the ceramics. I have collaborated with him, in order to organize the preparation of the section Laboratory young and artisan, of which the professor is director. Este is a little city, near the Colli Euganei, built around an ancient castle. It fascinating and charming.
The exhibition has been organised around the table, on the centre of the Sala Colonne of the Museum of Este (a very light-full room, you can reach from the external side of the walls of the castle), and the attention has been focused on the ceramics models of the projects, realised by the professor.
As Cornacchione explains: “The idea to carry the ceramics outside and to use it for the realization of elements of street furniture, wanted to be a push for the companies of Este – involved in the plan of the event – to put in crisis the traditional vision of this material. A kind of point break with previous edition of the Triennale. Instead, it has became the strength of the edition of this year. In the moment of crisis, like what we are living, it is important to experiment new roads and to look for the dialogue with the creative young people.” ( the image introduce in the preview is the Pentade work of Antonio Cornacchione)
